LED T8 Type A+B Dual Mode lamps easily replaces existing T8 fluorescent lamps in two ways: either by working with the existing fluorescent ballast (Type A) or bypassing the ballast and wiring directly to line voltage (Type B). Internal LED driver (when using the Type B installation method) means no need to replace a ballast resulting in long-term maintenance savings. No socket changes when using shunted sockets for Type A applications. For Type A installation, functions on most electronic T8 (instant and programmed) and battery backup ballasts.
